We regard the Global Golf4 Cancer 4-Flag Campaign as both an awareness platform and a catalyst for fundraising. In essence, when asking the golf community to ‘fly the flag for cancer fighters’, we are seeking its help in drawing attention to the work of various cancer charities and associated good causes and, where possible, its financial support so enabling us to benefit a range of cancer-fighting initiatives throughout the world.
First launched in Great Britain and Ireland, Global Golf4 Cancer has become a genuinely international campaign with our flag now flying in every corner of the globe. The concept continues to develop and grow via a series of individual flag-flying campaigns on all six continents – bespoke, themed campaigns that increase awareness of Global Golf4 Cancer, while at the same time creating diverse opportunities for fundraising. We are of course happy for participating clubs to fly the GG4C 4-Flag on any occasion or at whatever event they choose; and we are particularly keen that they consider doing so on the four special 'Global Golf4 Cancer Awareness Days' (4th April, 4th July, 4th October and 4th February - World Cancer Day).
